Award Yourself a Staycation at any these Hotels

Did you know that you can book a luxurious hotel accommodation using your points? Award yourself a much-needed staycation at any of these exotic locations. One of the best ways to use your credit card awards is to splurge on luxurious hotels all over the world. The trick is to know which hotels will let you use your awards, first of all, and then figuring out which of these lavishly luxurious hotels are actually worth spending your points on. That’s where you’re in luck because we have compiled a list of some of the best hotels that we have found in order for you to splurge a bit for your next vacation or staycation.

First up in our collection of luxurious hotels around the world is a stop at Necker Island, British Virgin Islands. If you were to go stay at this hotel and pay in US Dollars, it would cost you anywhere from $5,000 to $8,000 per night. Hopefully you have been collecting your points for a long time because when you go to pay for it with your awards, it is going to cost you 1.5 million Virgin Atlantic Flying Club miles. That’s per night. But if you take a look at some of the perks that this hotel offers, it may be well worth dropping them all at one stop. Usually, you and up to 34 guests have to go ahead and just book the whole island, but occasionally they offer what they call celebration weeks where you can book one of their 17 individual rooms. The whole 74-acre island that lays just east of Puerto Rico would be yours. We think it’s a very worthy use for all your awards points.

Next you will definitely want to check out North Island, A Luxury Collection Resort, Seychelles. Paying cash in US Dollars would cost you $5,600 per night to stay on this mostly private island off the east coast of Africa. If you choose to cash in your awards points for this vacation, it is going to cost you a minimum of 365,000 Marriott Bonvoy points per night. There are just 11 private villas on this exclusive island, so you will be sure to enjoy a gorgeous and very private vacation. The one downfall is that you won’t be able to use your points to pay for the round trip helicopter flight to and from the island, so you’ll need to be prepared for that cost at around $1,800. Even with that extra cost, you will be getting a pretty incredible deal that most people will never have an opportunity to experience.

When you hear the name Waldorf Astoria, you immediately think of luxurious hotels. This new property, the Waldorf Astoria Maldives Ithaafushi, is no exception. Costing anywhere from $1,500 per night to $3,500 per night, you can rent a base room with your awards at 120,000 points per night. That might not sound like a great deal, but their base rooms are approximately 2,500 square feet, are right on the beach and have their own private “plunge” pools. This new property has created what is basically a new top tier in the Hilton Honors program, but in our minds, it’s one pretty incredible vacation.

If you’re looking for a more budget-friendly booking, but still wanting to be able to tell your friends about the luxurious hotels you’ve stayed in, this next hotel is definitely one you need to consider. Ventana Big Sur, an Alila resort is off the Pacific Coast Highway, about three hours south of San Francisco International Airport. It’s part of the World of Hyatt program and while it would cost you anywhere from $500 to $1,000 per night, if you choose to use your awards points, it will cost you 30,000 points per night. If you’re looking for a stay at a luxury hotel that feels more like a luxury cabin vibe on the resort, this is exactly what you’re looking for.

If you’re looking to book stays in luxurious hotels all over the world with your awards points, we think you can’t go wrong with any one of these hotels. Wherever you go is up to you and ultimately up to how many points you have been able to accumulate over the years. If you are like us, we hoard ours as long as we can in order to pay as little as possible for one gorgeous and luxurious vacation. And while we have listed some great properties available, this is most definitely not an exhaustive list, so we want to encourage you to do your research and find exactly what you are looking for if you didn’t find it in what we listed. The sky is really the limit when it comes to traveling around the world to luxurious hotels with your awards points.
